Alexa’s Chicken Nuggets

Alexa Says:

Chicken nuggets is defiantly on my top 5 favorite foods.  I came across this chicken nugget recipe and hope you enjoy!  I also included the recipe for the honey mustard sauce which is super easy and delish! Both my roommates and friends enjoyed this recipe. Its a great after school/ study snack 🙂

Cooking Information:
Serves 4
Cooking/prep time : approx. 30 minutes
Difficulty: Easy

Kitchen Tools:
2 large size bowls
Large skillet or deep fryer
Spoon
Cutting board and knife

Ingredients:
Wet Ingredients

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut in 1 inch pieces
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried dill
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Dry Ingredients

2 cups self rising flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried dill
1/2 teaspoon pepper

1 1/2 cups of Peanut, Vegetable or Canola Oil.  (I use canola oil)

Honey Mustard Sauce
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
1/4 cup mayonnaise

Directions:
1. Preheat oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium heat or to 350 degrees. Combine chopped chicken, eggs and spices (for the wet ingredients) in a large bowl. Mix well and let set for about 15 minutes. Combine dry ingredients together.  Then take nuggets out and bread in flour and spices.
2. Drop one by one in hot oil and fry until golden. When done, drain on paper towels.
3. For sauce, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a whisk well until mayonnaise isn’t lumpy.

Tip From Alexa: If you don’t have onion or garlic powder, you can use fresh minced garlic or onion.  You can find the conversions on http://www.food.com/library/ and search under the kitchen dictionary.  This website is a great resource for cooking!
